Today, I’ll be reviewing the Callaway Elyte Triple Diamond driver.
The Elyte Triple Diamond (♦︎♦︎♦︎) benefits from the same cutting-edge technologies as the standard Elyte including a new Ai 10x Face and Thermoforged Carbon Crown. But as the players’ model in the Elyte family, it has a more compact Tour-like shape and is designed to be more workable with lower spin.
How does the Elyte TD actually perform when put to the test? How does it compare to its sister models and the previous generation Paradym Ai Smoke? Who is it best suited for? Is it worth putting in the bag?
Here’s what will be covered in the review:

Note: Unless otherwise stated, stock shafts and stock grips are used when evaluating this club. In most cases, the golf clubs reviewed on Golfstead are acquired temporarily for testing purposes and are not purchased. The review that follows is based on the personal experience and research of the author. Because everyone’s swing and body are different, results with a particular club may differ from person to person.
What are the reviews like?
The Elyte Triple Diamond driver is a new release, so the ratings that are out there are currently limited.
However, it won a gold medal on the Golf Digest 2025 Hot List and enjoys wide praise from critics and consumers, with a 5/5 rating on the official Callaway store.

The Features
The Elyte Triple Diamond driver is designed for better players with fast swing speeds. It packs most of the same core technologies as the standard Elyte, namely:
- Ai 10x Face: replacing the Ai Smart Face found in previous Callaway drivers, this face technology delivers 10 times more control points, further enhancing performance across the face. The results is higher ball speeds, tighter dispersions, and better optimized spin and launch.
- Thermoforged Carbon Crown: a new aerospace-grade carbon fiber crown allows the center of gravity (CG) to be positioned optimally for low spin and high launch. It also works with the unique shape of the driver to deliver unprecedented speed and distance.
- Elyte Shape: a new aerodynamic shape, developed through advanced prototyping, consists of a lower heel section and lower crown profile. It’s designed to minimize air resistance and maximize speed through the entire swing.
The key differences that set the Elyte TD apart are:
- Interchangeable Weight System: instead of weight ports along the perimeter of the sole, there are two interchangeable weights, one in the front and one in the back. Placing heavier weight in the back increases stability and spin, while placing it forward produces ultra-low spin.
- a slightly more compact profile with a Tour-inspired shape that appeals to better players
- an internal weight distribution that promotes a penetrating flight with lower spin and more workability than its sister models
Stock Info
The Elyte Triple Diamond driver is available in 8°, 9°, and 10.5° standard lofts at 450cc.
An included Optifit hosel allows you to adjust loft and lie. The loft settings are -1, +1, 0 and +2 (a range of 3°). The lie settings are N (neutral) and D (draw), giving a total of 8 possible configurations.
The stock graphite shafts are the Mitsubishi TENSEI 1K Black 65 & 75 and Project X Denali Charcoal 50. The stock grip is the Golf Pride Tour Velvet 360. Custom options are available.

The Performance
In the below sections, I’ll talk about my experience with the Elyte Triple Diamond driver. Let’s jump right in.
Distance
My testing indicated that while clubhead speeds are similar to the standard Elyte, the TD has an edge in ball speed (and thus smash factor) of around 1 mph. This is not surprising given the low-spin profile.
If you have a fast swing speed of 100+ mph, you might see significant gains in carry and total distance over the other Elyte drivers. In my case, carry was a few yards less than the standard Elyte but there was more rollout to compensate.
In addition, clubhead speed, ball speed, and carry all seem to be up slightly compared to the Paradym Ai Smoke TD, which is great.
Forgiveness
The Elyte TD driver is noticeably (and predictably) less forgiving than the standard and X models. But it seems to be at least as forgiving as the Paradym Ai Smoke TD — likely a little bit more.
Minor and even moderate mis-hits are actually quite forgiving and bear some resemblance to a game-improvement driver. It’s when you approach the extreme ends of the heel and toe that you can be significantly penalized for a bad strike and should not expect to hit the fairway.
Ball speed retention on mis-hits is above average, but dispersions can be pretty wide if your ballstriking isn’t on point.
Playability/Trajectory
The Elyte Triple Diamond driver tends to produce a low-mid launch with low spin. As with the previous generation, the flight bias is neutral to fade.
While spin is low, I would have liked my numbers to be even lower. The difference in RPMs between the TD and standard models (the TD has relatively lower spin, of course) was no more than 150 or so with the heavier weight in the back. With the heavier weight forward, the relative drop in RPMs was around 250-275, which is decent, but not the lowest I’ve seen.
I would typically only recommend putting heavier weight in the forward sole port if your driver swing speed is at least 100 mph. Players with swing speeds under 95 mph may struggle to get the ball sufficiently airborne, even with the weight back.
This driver is very workable. You should have no trouble shaping your shots off the tee and/or getting around doglegs if you have the skill to pull it off.
The Look
As with Callaway’s TD models from past generations, the Elyte Triple Diamond driver has a more compact ‘tour-preferred’ shape (450cc) that is less rounded and more triangular, or pear-shaped, than its sister models from the address perspective. The face appears to sit slightly open at address.
This is the only Elyte model to have two fixed weight ports in the front and back of the sole, positioned similarly to the Paradym Ai Smoke Triple Diamond driver.
The driver has the same “Elyte” theme as its sister models but is the only one to have a glossy black crown instead of matte. It also lacks a chevron alignment aid. This contributes to a more traditional, premium aesthetic that will appeal to many better players.
The sole design of the Elyte TD speaks to my tastes, more so than the Paradym Ai Smoke family. There’s good contrast, the logoing stands out more, and the colour scheme is more cohesive.
The Sound & Feel
It shouldn’t come as much of a surprise that the feel is just incredible when you make center contact – solid, powerful, responsive, and crisp. In these instances, the Elyte Triple Diamond has the best feel in the Elyte family and is at least as good as the previous generation.
The sound at impact is a crisp, slightly metallic “click”, similar in loudness to the standard Elyte but perhaps just a touch higher-pitched.
When you deviate from the sweet spot, it becomes clear you’re playing the TD model, as the feel and sound are noticeably less consistent across the face than the Elyte X, although I would say the feel is more consistent than the sound. Feedback is marginally improved when you have the heavier sole weight in the front.
Having said all this, the overall feel and sound experience doesn’t seem to differ much from the previous generation based on my time with the driver. Take that for what it’s worth.
Where To Buy This Driver Online
The natural place to go to order an Elyte Triple Diamond driver with custom specifications (loft, length, shaft, grip, etc.) is this page on the Callaway store.
If you want to save some money, you can find discounts on eBay.
Optionally look at what’s available on PGA TOUR Superstore, Global Golf or Amazon. The first two vendors may offer club trade-ins, performance guarantees, and/or financing plans to help you minimize the financial hit.
Final Thoughts
The Callaway Elyte Triple Diamond is a truly great driver for better players who have faster swing speeds. While it’s not the lowest-spinning driver I’ve ever hit, the potential is there for some seriously penetrating flights off the tee. There’s also a solid amount of forgiveness and some sole adjustability to boot.
If the strike is quality, the results will pay you back many times over, both in terms of feel and performance. The driver seems to outclass the Paradym Ai Smoke TD, albeit marginally.
If the conditions are right and if you’re naturally suited for this kind of driver, you won’t want to bag any of the other drivers in the Elyte family. On the other hand, those with swing speeds less than 95 mph or so should probably consider the standard or X models instead.
